    MIBA community partners are: The Maryland Institute College of Art, MICA Black Student Union, Decker Library, AFRO Charities Inc., the University of Baltimore, The Eubie Blake National Jazz Institute and Cultural Center, BMORE Art, Baltimore Museum of Art, the Maryland Center for History and Culture, Motor House, the Reginald F. Lewis Museum, the Steven Scott Gallery, Baltimore Office of Promotion & Arts, and Enoch Pratt Free Library.

  • We are seeking a Digital Content Creator who provides support for Blackives, LLC in several ways and will help establish a dynamic public history team within the community. Components critical to the program’s success include robust archival research, development of programming (online and in-person events), and creating dynamic content for a diverse audience.

    The Digital Content Creator will work with the Curator, Curatorial Fellow, Elder-in-Residence, Outreach Coordinator, and Community to communicate research findings and display historical information in-person and online in a digestible way. The incumbent will develop and curate social media content, manage the initiatives’ web presence, and help create new engaging programming. They will plan and coordinate events and make recommendations for further outreach efforts that can grow and build MIBA’s audiences. They will collaborate with the team on writing and editing online exhibitions.

  • We are seeking an Outreach Coordinator who provides support for Blackives, LLC in several ways and will help establish a dynamic public history team within the community. Components critical to the program’s success include robust archival research, development of programming (online and in-person events), diversifying oral histories, and creating dynamic content for a diverse audience.

    The Outreach Coordinator will work with the Curator, Curatorial Fellow, Elder-in-Residence, Digital Content Creator, and Community to communicate research findings and display historical information in-person and online in a digestible way. They will plan and coordinate events and make recommendations for further outreach efforts that can grow and build MIBA’s audiences. They will collaborate with the team on writing and editing online exhibitions. The Outreach Coordinator will also provide logistical support for events and exhibits which includes scheduling and reserving spaces, ordering supplies, arranging technical support, and keeping track of the program’s budget.
